These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and SpotiQueue ("we", "us", "our") for use of the SpotiQueue website and service at spotiqueue.com and its subdomains, including the host dashboard at dash.spotiqueue.com, instance admin pages, guest queue pages, and big-screen display views (together, the "Service").
By creating a host account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information. If you use a host's queue as a guest without a SpotiQueue account, you also agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy for that use.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
SpotiQueue is based in Australia. These Terms are written primarily for users in Australia, but they apply wherever you access the Service, subject to any non-excludable rights under the law that applies to you.
Questions about these Terms: [email protected].
These Terms apply to:
Hosts have additional responsibilities in section 8. Guests are subject to the acceptable-use rules in section 7 when they interact with a queue.
SpotiQueue is a software service that lets a host share a link or QR code so guests can request songs into the host's Spotify playback queue. The host keeps control over moderation, settings, and what actually plays.
SpotiQueue is built for personal, non-commercial events, such as house parties, birthdays, dorm hangouts, and similar private gatherings where the host already uses Spotify on their own account.
SpotiQueue is not a licensed product for commercial venues (bars, clubs, restaurants, ticketed events run as a business, and similar). It is not a substitute for venue music licensing, a commercial performance-rights arrangement, or Spotify's own products such as Spotify Jam. If you need a crowd-request product for a commercial space, you should use tooling designed and licensed for that purpose.
SpotiQueue does not provide venue or public-performance licensing, legal advice, or compliance coverage. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with Spotify's terms and with applicable copyright and performance-rights law. We are not liable for claims arising from commercial use of the Service, misuse of Spotify, or infringement by you or your guests.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We describe planned features on the marketing site and in the dashboard, but we do not guarantee that any particular feature will remain available in its current form. this
You must be able to form a binding contract where you live. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
You must provide accurate information when you register, keep your login details secure, and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may not use the Service if we have suspended or terminated your access, if you are prohibited from receiving the Service under applicable law, or if your use would cause us to violate a third party's terms (including Spotify's).
To run a queue as a host, you need a SpotiQueue account. You can register with an email address and password and/or by linking a supported OAuth provider (such as Google or GitHub), subject to what we make available at signup.
You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account unless you tell us promptly that your account was taken over without your consent and we can reasonably verify that.
Do not share your account credentials with others or allow someone else to operate your account as if it were theirs. You may let trusted people help you run an event using your instance admin tools while you remain responsible for what they do under your account.
We may require you to verify your email address before certain actions. Password reset, account deletion, and optional two-factor authentication flows are described in the product and in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, or remove a queue instance, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, misused the Service, created risk for other users or for us, or if we must do so to comply with law or a third-party requirement (including Spotify).
Where practical, we will give you notice and a chance to fix a problem before a suspension. We may act immediately without notice for serious abuse, legal compulsion, or repeated violations.
You can delete your host account from the dashboard using the in-product deletion flow described in our Data Retention Policy.
SpotiQueue is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify AB or any other third-party service named on our site.
The Service depends on Spotify's APIs and on a Spotify account and Spotify Developer application that you, as the host, connect. You must:
We do not control Spotify's service. Playback quality, catalogue availability, regional restrictions, Premium requirements, and device behaviour are determined by Spotify and your own Spotify setup, not by SpotiQueue.
The Service may use other providers for sign-in, email, lyrics lookup, or infrastructure. Those providers have their own terms. A technical summary of subprocessors appears in our Hosting Provider Data Policies. Your use of optional OAuth sign-in for guests or hosts is also subject to the relevant provider's terms.
You must not use the Service, and hosts must not allow their guests to use a queue, to:
| Prohibited conduct | Examples |
|---|---|
| Break the law | Infringe copyright, harass someone, distribute illegal content, or evade sanctions or export controls |
| Run a commercial venue operation | Use SpotiQueue as the primary crowd-music system for a bar, club, restaurant, retail store, gym, or other business open to the public, or for ticketed commercial events where you need a venue licence |
| Abuse the queue or other users | Spam requests, brigade votes, bypass cooldowns or bans, scrape or overload the Service, probe for vulnerabilities, or interfere with other hosts' queues |
| Attack the Service | Introduce malware, attempt unauthorised access, reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law allows, or circumvent technical limits or security |
| Misrepresent identity | Impersonate another person, a host, or SpotiQueue staff; use a false username where one is required |
| Misuse credentials | Share, sell, or publish Spotify Developer secrets, session tokens, or admin links meant to stay private |
| Harm minors | Direct the Service at children under 13 in a way that collects personal information contrary to our Privacy Policy, or expose minors to harmful conduct through a queue you control |
We may investigate abuse, remove content or queue entries, apply cooldowns or bans, block devices or OAuth identities, and suspend accounts or instances. Hosts can use built-in moderation tools for their own queues; we may take action at the platform level when needed.
If you are a host, you are responsible for:
If a guest contacts us about your instance, we may share limited information with you or ask you to reset guest data using the in-product tools, consistent with the Privacy Policy.
Guests use a host's queue under that host's settings. By opening a queue link or scanning a QR code, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy for that session.
Guests must follow section 7 and any additional rules the host communicates. A host may reject requests, remove songs, ban tracks, block devices, or require sign-in. Guest identity information may be visible to the host when the host has turned on features that require it.
We do not provide guest accounts. Guest activity is tied to cookies and optional OAuth identifiers as described in the Privacy Policy.
The Free plan currently includes one queue instance with core guest-request and host-moderation features, subject to the limits shown in the dashboard and on the pricing pages at the time you use the Service.
Pro is a paid or promotional tier with higher limits and additional features (such as multiple queues, custom URL slugs, and advanced moderation). Pro availability, pricing, and the exact feature list may change over time and are described on the marketing site and in the dashboard.
Billing today. We do not currently process subscription card payments through SpotiQueue itself. Pro entitlements may be granted through a waitlist, promotional access, or other methods we describe in the product. When paid subscriptions launch, we will update these Terms or present checkout terms before you are charged.
No refunds for promotional access. If you receive Pro without payment, we may change or revoke entitlements in line with these Terms.
We may modify plan limits, rename tiers, or retire features. If a change materially reduces paid entitlements you have already purchased, we will handle that in line with applicable law and any checkout terms in effect at purchase.
SpotiQueue owns the Service, including its software, design, documentation, and trademarks, except for third-party materials and open-source components we use under their licences. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose while you comply with these Terms.
You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
You retain ownership of information you submit (queue names, configuration, feedback messages, and similar). You grant us a worldwide licence to host, process, and display that information as needed to operate the Service, consistent with the Privacy Policy.
Song titles, artist names, album art, and playback come from Spotify and rightsholders. Those materials are subject to Spotify's and the rightsholders' terms. SpotiQueue does not claim ownership of them.
If you send product feedback through the signed-in dashboard form, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use it to improve the Service without owing you compensation. Do not send confidential or proprietary information you expect us to keep secret outside normal support handling.
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it. It incorporates our Data Retention Policy by reference for retention periods. Hosts who share a queue with guests should point guests to the Privacy Policy where appropriate.
The Service is provided on an as-available basis. We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free playback handoff, or that every guest request will reach Spotify successfully. Maintenance, outages, Spotify API issues, network problems, and device limits can affect the Service.
Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis through [email protected] and in-product feedback channels. We do not guarantee a particular response time unless we agree otherwise in writing for a specific Pro arrangement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Australian Consumer Law. If you are a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law, nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded under that law. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. For major failures, you are entitled to cancel a service contract and obtain a refund or compensation. For minor failures, we must fix the problem in a reasonable time. If we do not, you may cancel and obtain a refund for the unused portion.
Similar non-excludable rights may apply to you in other jurisdictions. These Terms do not override them.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
These limits apply whether the claim is in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or otherwise, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of the damage.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those cases, the limits apply only to the extent permitted, and our liability is the minimum allowed by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SpotiQueue from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
except to the extent the claim arises from our intentional misconduct or negligence that cannot be excluded by law.
We may update these Terms when the Service changes or when required by law. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email or through the dashboard.
Continued use of the Service after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any checkout or plan-specific terms we present at purchase, are the entire agreement between you and SpotiQueue about the Service.
Severability. If any part of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate restructure, or sale of assets, with notice where required by law.
Third-party beneficiaries. There are no third-party beneficiaries to these Terms except as expressly stated.
Governing law and courts. These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You and SpotiQueue submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia for disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
Before starting formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
